It's Been Awhile / Our New Home

SO much has happened in the last little while. I never intended to take this long of a hiatus from writing (it’s almost been a year!) but the busy weeks quickly rolled into months, then the next month and then the next month, and well, here we are.

Here are some of the big and exciting reasons for why I’ve been so busy!

I SELF-PUBLISHED A BOOK

In October my book Mother’s Bloom released. This was my passion project and it came together beautifully. It was a LOT of work. A lot of hours, a lot of late nights, a lot of my hubby taking the boys out so I could work work work… but all of it was so worth it. I still cry thinking about how much this project means to me and how thankful and proud I am of the women who participated in it. Find out more (and where to purchase) HERE.

AND THEN WE MOVED CITIES

In November we said goodbye to our beloved 2 bedroom condo and moved into the house we bought with my parents. My parents don’t live in town but are here often, so it was rad that we found a house where they could have a ground level suite while we live on the top floor. We are so thankful to have gained some space (a little more square footage, a yard, a garage, and a third bedroom) and thankful that this arrangement works well for both us and my parents. However, we did trade space for location, meaning we left Vancouver and went 30 minutes east to Langley where houses fit our budget.

AND THEN WE FOUND OUT I WAS PREGNANT

Only a few weeks after moving in we discovered that I am PREGNANT! I am now just shy of 16 weeks along… but I’ll be sharing more about that later ;)

For now, I’d like to show you around our new home! These photos are from the realtor site when the home was for sale and everything was staged very nicely. I look forward to sharing more photos of the progress as we slowly make it our own here.

One day we will renovate the kitchen but for now I’m thinking I might just paint the cupboards and add some hardware. We did add a dishwasher already and had to change the countertops in order to do so. I don’t have any good photos yet though!
